Strictly Come Dancing winner and BBC presenter Ore Oduba will star as Freddie Frankenstein in our production of Young Frankenstein, opening this Friday.
The stage version of the super-silly 1974 Mel Brooks film, Young Frankenstein tells the story of Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced “Fronk-en-steen”), grandson of the infamous Victor, who inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania.
With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced “Eye-gore”), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick brings to life a creature to rival that of his grandfather’s. Naturally, the monster escapes and all hell breaks loose on the streets of Ancoatsvania.
