THE BAND AT THE LOWRY! 5 star Review by Natalie Anglesey Do you remember the first time we saw The Band in Manchester? What a great show with a superb cast enjoying nightly standing ovations! There was a surprise appearance by Take That members at the finale that set the audience cheering! Written by Tim Firth, who wrote Calendar Girls, and collaborated with Gary Barlow on the musical version of The Girls, The Band is still a great show. If anything the pace is tighter after touring the country and an exciting stay in London. The members of The Band are 5 to 5, the winning band from BBC 1's Let It Shine - with AJ Bentley, Nick Carsberg, Curtis T Johns, Yazdan Qafouri and Harry Fabulous Brown. If you haven't seen it yet let me explain that although it uses the music of Take That ,it's not the story of their early years.
