New Date for The Osmonds New Musical

  It looks as though you will have to wait a little longer to see The Osmonds - A New Musical in Manchester. Following Covid and the high number of theatre shows set to open as soon as they're allowed, the new Osmond musical has  been rescheduled to 9th - 13th August 2022 at the Palace Theatre Manchester.   You loved them for a reason! Now, for the first time, you can see this sensational new musical and relive one of the world’s biggest ever boybands. The Osmonds - A New Musical tells the official story from Jay Osmond about the five brothers from Utah who were pushed into the spotlight as children and went on to create smash hits decade after decade. From their star residency on The Andy Williams Show, to the arrival of Donny and Marie, The Osmonds lived a remarkable life recording chart topping albums, selling out vast arena concerts and making record breaking TV shows - until one bad decision cost them everything.  Directed by Shaun Kerrison and choreographed by Olivier Awa

  THE LOWRY       The Lowry announces latest round of #LoveLowry commissions             The Lowry has announced four new shows as part of its #LoveLowry programme as it continues to showcase work during its extended closure due to lockdown.   The work, which is shared with audiences as livestreams, films on-demand and via text message take place across March and April.   First up is REWRITES x SIGNAL in partnership with Adam Lenson Productions.   THE LOWRY       The Lowry takes #DaysLikeThese exhibition to the streets of Salford with city-wide billboard campaign                  The Lowry has taken its #DaysLikeThese exhibition to the streets of Salford with a city-wide billboard campaign, enabled through support from Art Fund.    With its galleries still closed in line with the national lockdown, The Lowry has selected seven works submitted to the exhibition by members of the public to feature in the huge poster sites.   Among them is 74-year-old Barbara from Ordsall, whose photograph of a mosaic rainbow in the window of her home, entitled Showing My Appreciation was the first poster site to go live outside The Lowry at Salford Quays.   Also included in the campaign is: Untitled by Gulafshah; View from a Window by Tiago; My Son Rafe by Karen from Eccles; Our School at Home by pupils from St. Mary’s RC Primary School

Bowdon Rooms revamped!

But since being taken over by new owners 12 months ago, like many other venues it has remained closed to the public.
