 Ireland’s leading comedy duo Dirtbirds come to Waterside with new show Girls World Tour

 

Sinead Culbert and Sue Collins are Ireland’s Queens of Comedy and they are back with brand-new show on Friday 4 April.

After their last sell out tour, which received standing ovations across Ireland and the UK, DirtBirds are bringing their highly relatable and spot on observational comedy back to the stage.

 

With a mix of stand-up and sketches this hilarious new show explores the fascinating female mind and answers burning questions like:

 

Why do we enter 1000 calories into our Noom app when we’ve *really* consumed over 6,000?

Why do we hold onto tights when they’ve ladders in them?

 

Why do we keep buying creams that we KNOW won’t stop our faces from sliding down our necks?

MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS AT THE LOWRY UNTIL SATURDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER 2024 Hands up if, like me, you are an Agatha Christie fan. Thought so!   The excellent Fiery Angel production company with director Lucy Bailey, knew they were onto a sure - fire winner with this touring production of one of Christie’s most popular novels. This is where I have to confess that in my past I have been a guest on the real Orient Express replicating that same journey. In a strange way that experience has made me more critical of staged productions although I always intend to keep an open mind.   Launching this national tour at The Lowry ensured a packed auditorium.   42 Balloons at The Lowry 18 APRIL –19 MAY 2024 Review by Natalie Anglesey at the Quays Theatre There’s nothing more exciting than a brand new musical which premiered, not in London nor in Manchester, but at the Quays Theatre at the Lowry in Salford. No need to combat Manchester city centre traffic or fight for a parking space. There's plenty of parking spaces and eateries in Salford Quays. But the question remains is this new work worth the price of a ticket? As far as I'm concerned and the rest of the audience,  it's a definite yes. 42 Balloons is the brainchild of Jack Godfrey who has not only written the story, but the music and lyrics as well.  Godfrey's previous works include This is A Love Story (Dundee Rep) and Babies (Lyric).
