Clonter is 50 this year! Whilst we have a full programme lined up, there are still a few events that need some funding, and there is also the ongoing need for funding generally to continue to provide a nurturing and supportive place for emerging talent to flourish and entertain our audiences for generations to come.

Priority Booking Period for Friends Now Open


We are delighted to now be able to invite Friends of Clonter to book tickets the Spring Opera Showcase on 18th May, and our next Clonterbrook Recital on 24th May.


As you may recall from our previous updates, we have reintroduced the priority booking periods for Patrons and Friends of Clonter (2 weeks priority for Patrons / 1 week priority for Friends). If you are not already a Friend, and you would welcome being able to take advantage of this benefit, it is not too late to become one. Click here for further information.


The priority booking period for Friends will end on 23rd February. Non-Friends of Clonter may book online or by phone after this date.

Spring Opera Showcase

Sat 18 May, 7pm


Spring is nearly here, and with it heralds the annual Masterclasses, and the subsequent Spring Opera Showcase, which offers a rich variety of semi-staged opera scenes and arias, set into context, to entertain opera novices of all ages and seasoned opera lovers in equal measure.


Tickets £22, £28, £36, £41, FREE for 26-year-olds and under (ID may be required)

Early Bird Ticket (10% Discount) available until 1 March 2024

Doors Open 6pm

Performance Starts 7pm

Interval 70 minutes

Clonterbrook Recital - Betty Bannerman Award for French Song

Fri 24 May, 3pm


Clonter is delighted to be presenting a recital to be given by Jessica Hopkins, last year’s winner of the Betty Bannerman Award for French Song, established for students at the Royal Northern College of Music. The recital will take place in the Music Room at Clonterbrook (1 minute drive from Clonter Opera Theatre).


Tickets £20, FREE for Patrons

Doors Open 2.30pm

Performance Starts 3pm

Interval 30 minutes
