TATTON PARK WELCOMES WONDERLAND



Tatton Park's Christmas Mansion attracts thousands of visitors every year with magnificent displays, interactive characters and free festive treats. This year is no different as Tatton Park presents Welcome to Wonderland. The Christmas Mansion opened its doors last week and visitors have been transported to the magical world of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, with a range of interactive characters and immersive displays. 



The mansion is beautifully decorated and offers a range of experiences for all ages. From the sparkling rabbit hole to the magical Duchess’s Garden adorned with whimsical florals and the perfect spot for photos on her special bench surrounded in beautiful blooms.


Say hello to your favourite characters as visitors can look forward to meeting the Queen of Hearts and her cook who are waiting to greet guests with their delicious and free festive treat in her superbly decorated kitchen. The Mad Hatter’s Hat, Alice’s giant key and more special props can be found throughout the Mansion – perfect for those Christmas selfies! 


Making magical memories this Christmas for young and old alike, there are plenty of picture-perfect moments for visitors to share their journey through Wonderland. From the spectacular enchanted forest to the impressive 18ft Christmas tree in the Cupola Hall and the magic mirrors where visitors can both shrink and grow like Alice in the story.


"We are thrilled with the response to Welcome to Wonderland: The Christmas Mansion," says Carolyn Latham and Vicky Rowbotham, the Mansion and Collections Managers. "The Mansion Team have worked hard to create an immersive and magical experience for our visitors, and it's wonderful to see that they are enjoying it so much."

Little visitors will love spotting the White Rabbit as they explore the staterooms and servants’ quarters, and older visitors can share their own tea party traditions and Christmas wishes on our wish tree. During the weekends, there are craft activities for children - like making their own Cheshire Cat smile or little Caterpillar to take home.

Visitors are encouraged to book their tickets in advance; however, tickets are available on the day from the mansion entrance. The Christmas events at Tatton Park will run on selected dates from to 21 November 2023 - 31 December 2023.

Review of Coram Boy at The Lowry by Natalie Anglesey

Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of Coram Boy, is at The Lowry until June 29. Review by Natalie Anglesey .  Ignore any previous reviews you have read of Coram Boy, prior to its current stay at The Lowry this week. My advice is to see it yourself and make up your own mind. I'm certainly glad I did. The majority of reviews have so far been negative with only a few comparing this mammoth work with that of the great Charles Dickens. However, if like me you're a fan of the famous author, you may agree because the themes are concerning corruption of the worst kind. This powerful piece which received a rapturous reception, also features Handel’s glorious music throughout this astonishing production.  Helen Edmundson’s stage adaptation of Jamila Gavin’s Whitbread Award-winning novel, premiered at the National Theatre in 2005 before transferring to Broadway. The Osmond's new musical is coming to Manchester!  M y best friend was an avid Osmond fan in her teens and she still is.
