The Octagon Theatre will be taking audiences on a rip-roaring adventure around the globe this festive season in their brand-new musical adaptation of Around the World in 80 Days – bringing festive cheer to thousands of Bolton audiences this holiday period.
The venue has announced details of their festive appeal, with the proceeds going towards providing even more opportunities for young people in 2024.
With a target of £10,000, the Octagon are asking for public donations which can be made online or in-person at the venue.
The Octagon’s engagement programme provides vital support and opportunities to local communities. Monies raised from the appeal support their family programme and will fund projects including their free to access annual Family Festival and other family activities across the year.
Donations from the festive appeal will help the venue invest in even more opportunities for local young people of all ages and backgrounds to take part in the arts and creative activities over the next 12 months. Anyone wanting to support the appeal can make a donation via their website at octagonbolton.co.uk/support-us/donate-now; or in person at the venue.
Head of Creative Engagement at the Octagon, Imogen Woolrich commented: “We believe every young person in Bolton should have the chance to experience the collective joy and new possibilities being creative can spark. However, there are sadly an increasing number of children, young people and families across Bolton who don’t get the chance to take part.
“Our Festive Appeal will help share the magic with more people in 2024. We have an ambitious target of £10,000 which we hope to raise by the end of January, so all donations will be greatly appreciated and really will go towards making a massive difference to the lives of young people and their families in Bolton. A huge thank you to everyone who supports the Octagon, we could not do the work we do without the help of our wonderful audiences and supporters.”
As a registered charity the Octagon could not deliver its vital creative engagement and community projects without the continued support of its funders and donors. Find out more about the festive appeal on the Octagon’s website: octagonbolton.co.uk/support-us/festive-appeal-2023
