The Octagon Theatre are preparing to launch their blockbuster autumn/winter season later this month with the highly anticipated musical adaptation of The Book Thief.
This world premiere production, based on the worldwide bestselling novel by Markus Zusak, will be sponsored by local business, Boo Coaching and Consulting.

Speaking about why she wanted to get involved, Boo Founder and Director Becci Martin said: “We’ve been long-time fans of the Octagon and as a business based in Bolton we felt that we really connected with everything that the Octagon stands for. I am so excited that this world premiere production gets its launch in our hometown of Bolton and we are thrilled that we can be involved and come on board as the show sponsor.
“We have just been given the wonderful opportunity to sit in on rehearsals and what I have seen is truly incredible, and I can’t wait for everybody to come and see it so you can be as thrilled and excitable as I am right now.”
Octagon Chief Executive Roddy Gauld added: “We are thrilled to welcome Boo as our show sponsor for The Book Thief.”
“The team at Boo share the same values as the Octagon – we are both deeply rooted in Bolton, we are passionate about making a difference to people and communities, and we support people to achieve amazing things. I couldn’t think of a better partner for this ambitious and deeply moving production, and very thankful for their support in making this sensational world premiere happen in our town.” The Book Thief opens at the Octagon from Sat 17 Sep – Sat 15 Oct.
