PRESS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Call out for Young Performers for A Christmas Carol! The Octagon Theatre are searching for young actors to be a part of their upcoming production of A Christmas Carol. The Octagon are casting 3 young people (any gender) between the ages of 9 and 13 to share the role of Tiny Tim in our upcoming production of A Christmas Carol a brand new musical adaptation by Kate Ferguson and Susannah Pearse. Tiny Tim is a bright young child full of enthusiasm and always hopeful. They are the youngest and “tiniest” of the Cratchit family and is always ready to join in with their family’s Christmas songs and celebrations. The Octagon are looking for actors with strong vocals who are confident with learning dance/movement sequences.  The Octagon welcomes actors of any ethnicity to apply for the role. Maximum height: 5ft. Male applicants should have an unbroken voice. A Christmas Carol will be a joyful musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic tale travelling with Ebenezer Scrooge through yuletides past, present and future in a heart-warming and uplifting tale of redemption. Filled with toe-tapping live music, festive fun and a good splash of magic, A Christmas Carol will be directed by the Octagon’s new Associate Director Georgia Murphy. Rehearsals start 17 October 2022, with a final performance of 14 January 2023.
