Oldham Coliseum
Last weekend we finally opened our pantomime Aladdin,
after two year's waiting in the Lamp due to the pandemic. Our fun-filled
production has already received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike
and it is so joyous to have pantomime back in Oldham. What
you see on stage is just a part of the true magic of theatre, and our
Learning and Engagement team have been working with our local Roma and Romani
Gypsy communities using theatre and creative practise to amplify their voices
and share their traditions, and with young people to welcome Little Amal to
Rochdale and to support an artist in the development of their own craft with The
Proud Trust's Youth Out In Oldham group. We're
currently looking for theatre goers and participants, artists and people
interested in questioning our work to join our Community Steering Group as
we move towards the next stage in the Coliseum's story. The group will get
together and consider themes relating to our programmes, the theatre
building, what the theatre means/could mean to you and how we can make our
work more inclusive and accessible. Read
all about it and more, below. |

The
safety of our audiences remains our absolute priority. We’re continuing to
offer socially distanced events where possible, and more details of our
updated safety procedures can be found here. Alongside
our website, our Box Office is open again fully:
Monday - Friday 10am - 7.30pm (6pm on non-performance days) and Saturdays
10am - 7.30pm (4.30pm on non-performance days). |
