SUMMER IS HERE!

The sun is out and just in time for the schools breaking up! Now's the moment to call in and stock up with books for the children to start you off for the summer!

We have a fabulous range of new books to show you – including signed copies of David Walliams’ new book Mega Monster and Julia Donaldson’s delightful picture book The Woolly Bear Caterpillar. There’s a fantastic range of puzzle and activity books too - guaranteed to keep children busy on a long car journey or the (occasional?) rainy day!

Of course, we're always happy to give advice and offer recommendations…we love it when the whole family calls in and sets us the challenge to match book to reader!

READ YOUR WAY AROUND THE BRITISH ISLES

As most of us will be staying close to home this summer, why not take yourself on a literary tour of the UK? We have made a list of some of our favourite books, new and old, which will take you - literally - from Land's End to John O'Groats. From evocative fiction to beautiful travel writing to gothic classics, there is something for everyone in this selection. Included in the list is one of Andrew's all-time favourites, All Among the Barley by Melissa Harrison, which is a beautiful pastoral novel set in East Anglia in 1933, as well as Summerwater by Sarah Moss, which is one of Sue's summer picks, a tense tale told over 24 hours in a Scottish caravan park. To browse the full selection, head to our 'Read Your Way Around the British Isles' list on Bookshop.org. Of course, the best thing is always to buy directly from us in the shop so do pop in - we'd love to see you!

Whether you're escaping somewhere nice this summer or soaking up the sun in your own back garden, we have the perfect book for you.

Our opening hours are:
9.30am - 4.30pm Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
9.30am - 1pm on Wednesday.

If you are unable to make it into the shop, you can still browse and buy from us online at Bookshop.org
ORDER ANY TIME BY EMAIL, PHONE (0161 439 1436) OR ONLINE
