MATTHEW BOURNE’S SWAN LAKE  THE LOWRY, SALFORD 19 TH TO 30 TH NOVEMBER 2024 AHEAD OF THE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SEASON AT SADLER’S WELLS, LONDON AND A 2025 UK TOUR   Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake returns to The Lowry, Salford this week as part of its 30 th Anniversary Tour. This reinvention, danced to Tchaikovsky's musical masterpiece, caused a sensation when it premiered almost 30 years ago and I was lucky to be there.   Steel Pulse 50th Anniversary Celebration Tour Support from  The Selecter  at all 5 UK shows Steel Pulse  are back on the road in 2025 with a  50 th  Anniversary  celebration tour. The tour will take in five venues in  March 2025 , including a home town Birmingham gig, and support at all shows will come from  The Selecter:  a band also of West Midlands origins. Whilst they would go on to support the icon on a European concert tour in 1978, they found themselves lifted with the arrival of the first wave of Punk.   Prism: Waterside Arts’ winter festival of music and light will dazzle Sale town centre for a second year this November Prism – an ambitious winter festival, powered by Waterside Arts, returns to illuminate Sale town centre in Trafford from Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 November.   Following the triumphant success of Waterside’s inaugural Prism Festival in 2023, audiences of all ages can again witness music, projection and light performance creating magical and thought-provoking experiences during this three-day festival.   Prism Light Trail , a community-led project, curated by  Things That Go On Things  in partnership with  Leeway Creative Productions , will see a series of light installations through Sale Town Centre designed by children and young people in the borough.    The Light Trail is based on an original concept by Trafford-based public artist Venessa Scott, award-winning artist Sarah Greaves and the communities of Trafford.   Simple...
